- Steven E. Holland - President
Steven has been with Fidelity Insurance Services for over 21 years. Prior to joining the agency, he was with Delta Dental for 15 years, traveling nationwide. He has a great sense of humor about working in the insurance field, enjoying jokes about the industry. Steve feels that the real pleasure of his work is in helping people solve problems, big and small. He has been active in the community serving as President of Rotary Club of Berkeley, Oakland Association of Insurance Agents, and his local church. Steven serves as Board Chair of Heart to Heart International Medical Children's Alliance and is on the Alta Bates Summit Foundation Board.
Steven is very proud of the opportunity to live and work in the Berkeley community, enjoying its people and the diversity. Opera is a passion for Steven, and he has taken an interest in Berkeley Opera productions. In his free time, he often goes bicycling; if you see a purple and blue tandem bike, that's him.
- Donald A. Bell - Principal
Donald has worked in the insurance business for over 40 years. He has been an independent agent and broker for the past 38 years.
Away from the office, you may find Donald on the golf course. He enjoys traveling and is the proud father of two wonderful sons, raised and educated in Berkeley. Don is a proud grandfather of four grandchildren.
- Erik Holland - Agent/Producer
Erik is completing his fourth year in the industry. He quickly learned that insurance is an exciting business with lots of competition. Erik has focused on developing a client base in the East Bay and South Bay, becoming very involved in the Berkeley Chamber of Commerce. He will serve as Co-Chair of the Ambassador Committee over the next year. As an agent, Erik enjoys meeting with prospective clients, gaining understanding of who each client is and what is important to them. Prior to joining Fidelity Insurance Service Erik spent six years working with the San Jose Giants (Class-A minor league baseball) in sales and media.
In his personal time Erik enjoys being a husband, running, yoga, golf and is a big sports fan (especially Cal football). He is active in his church and is a little league coach with Fremont National Youth Baseball.
- Shirlene Ballard-Grossman - Agent/Personal Lines Specialist
Shirlene joined Fidelity Insurance Service in December of 2006 and has over 8 years of experience in the insurance industry. Shirlene is a "lifer"; in the Bay Area but always enjoys travel. One of her favorite activities outside the Bay Area is downhill skiing in the mountains. Shirlene enjoys bicycle rides, spending time outside, and is an always happy to sit down with a good book (she has even more time to do that now that her daughter has moved into adulthood).
Prior to working in insurance Shirlene used her "gift for gab" as a hair dresser and will occasionally offer this gift to family and friends in need of a trim. Shirleene is a favorite with Fidelity Insurance Service clients as she is always ready with friendly conversation for anybody calling into the agency.
- Nancy Brown Bauschinger - MISDIR
Nancy grew up here in Berkeley and graduated from Berkeley High. Afterwards, she majored in philosophy at UCSB and did post graduate work at the Monterey Institute of Foreign Studies. She has worked as a ballet dancer, OTC stock trader, simultaneous interpreter and technical translator, development director, and computer geek. She and her assistant, Ben, a wirehaired Dachshund, are both happy to work at Fidelity where they keep the books in order and teach the computers to behave.
Evenings and weekends, Nancy can be found puttering around her house, scanning and restoring old photos, or tending her garden She loves yoga, Bollywood movies, and flamenco dancing. Ben likes treats and trips to the dog park.
- Marian Glenn-Ellis - Agent/Personal Lines Specialist
Marian has worked with Fidelity Insurance Service for 15 years. A life long resident of the East Bay, Marian began working with FIS at the El Cerrito location and moved to the West Berkeley location when the two agencies merged. She is the proud parent (and often exhausted) of twins (a boy and girl) but is always anxious to take them on new adventures around the Bay Area.
In her time away from the office Marian enjoys visiting her families cabin in the Sierra foothills, visiting Hawaii, and planning her next trip to Disneyland. She is an avid fan of the arts and enjoys attending all sort of theatre performances weather it is a community production, on Broadway, a musical, or play. Marian is also an avid Elvis fan and firmly believes we will never see another entertainer like him.
- Tracy McLaughlin - Agent/Commercial Lines Specialist
Tracy has been with Fidelity Insurance Service for nine years, and has worked in insurance for 14 years. During her time with FIS, Tracy has become known to commercial clients for her quick response to questions, attention to detail, and range of knowledge. Tracy was born and raised in San Francisco, moving to the East Bay to attend the University of California and earn a degree in Sociology and Social Welfare.
A Berkeley resident, Tracy is the proud parent of two children that keep her very busy during her time away from the office. Her son is as an infielder on the University of California Golden Bear baseball team, and her daughter enjoys keeping busy with dance rehearsals and performances.
- Nancy West - Agent/Personal Lines Specialist
Nancy has been with Fidelity Insurance Service for eight years, having 25 years in the insurance industry, including work with IBA West. Nancy has resided in the Bay Area her entire life and can not imagine living any were else. Nancy is very active in her youngest son¢s Cub Scout Pack and is always eager to participate and plan there outings. Her two teenage children enjoy testing her patience while she awaits there upcoming independence.
In her time away from the office, Nancy enjoys outdoor activities with her family that include hiking, camping, visiting her mother in Nevada, and spending time with friends and family. Nancy is also an outstanding cook and is well known for her lasagna.
